2 & Young 3 Year Old Programs
(Must be 2 prior to starting in class)
Our Toddler Playgroup has been designed to be a child’s first experience away from home. The focus of this class will be social interaction and verbal communication. Exploration of their environment and hands-on activities are planned as well as time for stories, songs and finger plays.
3 & Young 4 Year Old Programs
(Must be 3 by September 1 of the current school year)
These classes will include time for social interaction, further language development, increased development in small and large motor skills, structured group times, and continued exploration of their environment through “s-on” experiences.
4 & Young 5 Year Old Programs
(Must be 4 by September 1 of the current school year)
Pre-K classes provide an opportunity for the child to explore with materials, ideas and personal relationships as a firm foundation for kindergarten. These are pre-kindergarten readiness programs.
(Must be 5 by September 1 of the current school)
(Extended Day Available until 3:00PM. For more information see the director This option fills very quickly.)
This three-quarter day program is designed to meet and exceed the expectations of a typical kindergarten program. The small class size allows more one-on-one interaction between the student and the teacher. Learning to function in a group, yet maintaining their individuality is our goal. Each child will be encouraged to advance at his/her own pace. This program is recognized by the MSDE.
*Note: Children not meeting the age cut-off guidelines and wishing to gain early admittance to Kindergarten must obtain a waiver from St. Mary’s County Public School System.
